Well it isn't often that he is willing to smile for pics, but he is looking better every day and has lost 10 tubes including all but one IV and the intubation tube that allowed the ventillator to breathe for him and the feeding tubes that fed him as well as the oxygen, gastric and catheter tubes so he looks like a new man and we thought we would take these pics while he was happy. Thanks to everyone for all you are doing to help us, and hopefully we'll be coming home soon!

Glad he's doing better. Did you find out what was wrong? Hope you are doing well! And you other little ones too.
Thanks Kris, we haven't yet figured out what caused it exactly, but he will be doing more testing after we taper him off of all the steroids. We are home now and have been for a couple of days and he is doing pretty good, but still requires his steroids and treatments frequently. I will keep posted. Love ya!
Yay! Glad you are home now. Are the steroids for swelling? Love you too!
No, they are to help his lungs stay open and receptive to the other treatments he has to be on. They actually cause swelling though. He is very puffy in his face even though the free air has been reabsorbed. His swelling came down and then returned the next day and I called to have hime seen, and they said it was a side effect of the high dose of steroids he is on. Poor baby. He is pretty cute chunky though.
